We drove out to his house in the Palisades one afternoon in the Californian sunshine down Sunset Boulevard..\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI remember walking into his office. Billy Steinberg was sitting in his leather office chair dressed in jeans and a blue silk shirt with an observant expression in his eyes. He took one look at me — he waved for me to sit down looking at me,he then proceeded to write the lyrics in ten minutes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI was there, impressed and flabbergasted, making a silent promise to myself: \u003cem\u003eone day, I would be able\/ will write a song lyric just as fast as that.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHe caught my essence from the very first hello and Billy Steinberg wrote me a brilliant lyric and I am forever grateful for that gift.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA confession dressed in melody.
