I Love My Cat. Her Name Was Mutti. — The CAT Mom & Dad Mug by M.V.K.

Her name was Mutti.

She was a tuxedo cat — black and white, majestic, completely aware of her own magnificence. And she was mine in a way that I have never been able to fully explain to people who have not had that kind of bond with an animal.

She Traveled With Me

Mutti went everywhere. Other countries. Other cities. Places that would have unsettled most cats completely. She did not care about the distance or the disruption or the strangeness of a new room in a new place. She cared about one thing: whether I was there.

As long as I was there, she was calm. As long as she could find me in the room, everything was fine. That kind of trust — absolute, uncomplicated, requiring nothing from you except your presence — is something very few relationships in a human life will ever give you.

She gave it to me every single day.

The Yellow Eyes

She would stare at me. Not the casual glance of a distracted animal — a full, sustained, unblinking stare with those yellow eyes. For the longest time. Just looking. Just being with me in the particular way that cats have of being with you that is unlike anything else on earth.

I felt her eyes piercing through me. Not uncomfortable — the opposite. Like being truly seen by something that had no agenda, no performance, no need to be anything other than exactly what it was. A cat. My cat. Looking at me like I was the whole world.

I will never forget it.

This Mug Is for That Bond

This is not a mug for people who like cats. It is a mug for people who have been changed by one. Who know what it is to be chosen by an animal and to feel the weight of that loyalty every morning when they wrap both hands around something warm and remember.

For the Cat moms and Cat dads who wear that title like what it actually is: a relationship. A bond. A love that does not ask for anything back.

I LOVE MY CAT.

Clean design. Quality ceramic. A quiet declaration of where your loyalties lie — and always will.
