I Am a Lioness. I Fight Till Death. I Roar. — WEAR YOUR ROAR by M.V.K.
I am a lioness.
I fight till death. I am unafraid. I roar.
This is not a metaphor. This is the biography of a woman who had no choice but to become exactly this — because the alternative was to be eaten. And I had someone beside me who could not afford for me to go down. So I didn't.
What I Had to Fight
I became a widow. A single mother. And I discovered very quickly that the world has a particular appetite for women in that position — women who are alone, who are grieving, who are trying to hold everything together with both hands while the ground shifts underneath them.
The haters came. The jealousy came — of my beauty, of my talent, of the fact that I kept going when they expected me to stop. The lies came. People who should have stood beside me chose instead to stand against me, or to simply disappear when it cost them something to stay.
I had to stand up. Not because I wanted to fight. Because if I didn't, we would get eaten — my child and I. And that was not going to happen.
The Lioness Protects
A lioness does not roar for herself alone. She roars for what is behind her. For the one she is protecting. For the life she has built and refuses to let be taken. The roar is not aggression — it is a boundary. A declaration. A warning to everything that is circling: not this. not us. not today.
That is what I became. Not because I was born fearless — because I was given something worth protecting and I rose to meet it. Every single time. Through the grief, through the jealousy, through the lies, through the loneliness of doing it without a partner beside me.
I rose. I roared. I kept going.
Wear Your Roar
This is for every woman who has had to become more than she thought she could be because someone was counting on her. Who fought off the haters not with bitterness but with power. Who was lied on and stood up anyway. Who moved through the world with grace and with the full force of everything she has survived.
Wear your roar. Let them hear you coming.
You earned it.
