The Process
Over 10 sessions, Merete will ask key questions, observe how you move and speak, explore your strengths and vulnerabilities, your light and your shadow. She will get to know you — not just as an actor, but as a human being. From that deep understanding, she will write a monologue that is entirely yours: one that plays to your specific qualities, challenges you in the right places, and gives you a piece no one else could perform the way you can.
The work doesn't stop at the page. Together, you will rehearse and develop the piece until it is fully performance-ready — a complete, polished piece you can own and deliver with confidence.

The Work Behind the Work
Le Van Kamp Studio is a one-woman operation.
Merete Van Kamp writes, directs, designs, creates, and builds — alone. Every collection, every article, every affirmation on every T-shirt comes from one person who has spent years working across film, television, and stage as a performer, a writer, and a director.
The Studio grew out of that experience: the need for objects and tools that match the seriousness of the work, and a space to share what she has learned along the way. There is no team behind the curtain. Just the work, and the conviction that actors deserve better than what the mainstream offers them.
The Studio is based in Paris, France. Everything is designed with intention. Nothing is made by accident.
